𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗴𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 — 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿.

Nottingham Forest are once again fielding interest from Brazil over the future of Cuiabano, with another top-flight club now stepping forward. This time it is Vasco da Gama who are monitoring the situation, as they consider a potential loan move for the left-back following his return to England at the end of last season.

According to Globo Esporte, Vasco are keen to reinforce their options on the left side of defence and believe Cuiabano fits the profile they are looking for. His blend of physical power and technical ability has made him an appealing target, particularly at a time when the club are facing a shortage in that position.

Cuiabano has only recently returned to Nottingham Forest after the conclusion of his loan spell with Botafogo and is still waiting to make his first competitive appearance for the Premier League club. Despite that, interest from Brazil has not cooled, with Vasco now joining a growing list of sides keeping a close eye on his situation.

The report also highlights an important factor behind the renewed speculation. Cuiabano’s personal preference would be a return to Botafogo, where he enjoyed regular football, but that route is currently closed. Botafogo are under a transfer ban, preventing John Textor’s club from registering new players, effectively ruling out a reunion in the short term.

With that door shut, other Brazilian clubs have begun to make their moves. Vasco have already communicated their interest to Cuiabano’s representatives, signalling that they would be open to bringing him back to Brazil if circumstances allow.

At this stage, however, there have been no formal discussions with Nottingham Forest and no official offer has been submitted. The interest remains exploratory, driven by squad requirements in Brazil rather than any active effort from Forest to move the player on.

Still, the situation is one to watch. If opportunities remain limited at Nottingham Forest, Brazilian clubs are likely to keep searching for ways to secure Cuiabano’s return. Whether this proves to be mere background noise or the beginning of another twist in the defender’s career remains to be seen.
